A synopsis

No morchas, no rabble-rousing slogans, no clanging utensils. The women of Madhya Pradesh are quietly reinventing themselves within their culture and milieu. They may not be familiar with hefty feminist terms like ‘women’s empowerment’, but empowered is how they are and it’s truly how they feel.

These women have come into their own – spurred by the economic and political opportunities initiated by the state government. The film follows three such women who recount the story of their lives – how they fought the odds, pioneered an enterprise and chased their dreams.

These are the icons of a new generation of inspired women of rural India – determined to find its own, special niche.
